October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. KAFSC is organizing its 13th Annual Silent March on Friday, October 1, 2010 in memory of murdered victims, and in honor of survivors and current sufferers of domestic violence. The march is a demonstration to raise awareness about domestic violence by mobilizing community members, leaders, service organizations, and local dignitaries.The procession will start at 5:30pm at the Flushing Library (41-17 Main Street Flushing, NY), and will end at 7:00pm at the 109 Police Precinct (37-05 Union Street Flushing, NY). There will also be guest speakers, so please come out and help support and raise awareness about domestic violence with others in the community.
