Housing Programs
KAFSC's Housing provides shelter and transitional housing to survivors of gender based violence and their families. We are committed to increasing housing options for gender-based violence survivors and improving their access to existing housing resources.

KAFSC's Transitional Housing Program provides opportunities for clients to live in safe, scattered housing instead of communal living while remaining in culturally and ethnically familiar areas for up to 18 months. All of our participants are able to receive the following comprehensive and supportive services:

Childcare assistance
Counseling, case management, advocacy, and referral services to other community-based organizations and resources
Legal services with immigration and Order of Protection
Assistance finding permanent housing
Vocational and employment assistance

Emergency Shelter
KAFSC’s Emergency Shelter is a culturally safe space committed to providing comprehensive support to women and children in crisis. During their stay, the shelter will provide a vital doorway for access to culturally familiar food, legal assistance, counseling, and bilingual, bicultural staff who are well-equipped to offer comprehensive services with cultural sensitivity.
